Aileron & Elevator Control Systems - Sec. 36

Picture
Elevator tube from the stick to the idler bracket installed
Picture
Push tube from the idler bracket to the push/pull horn
Picture
This is the push/pull horn and auto pilot bracket all in one. Nice neat installation held in place with screws and nut plates. This is nice for maintenance and repair. Pull a few screws and one connector and the auto pilot servo comes right out. Nice.
Picture
Stick mount and bearing assembly. Well made unit and smooth.
Picture
The original stick installed temporarily .

Good access to the control systems once the cover plates are removed

The original sticks that came with the kit were not going to work with the Tosten stick grips. We could not cut off enough of the stick to except the grip and end up at the same length as Van's designed the sticks to be and that would not interfere with the instrument panel.  Tosten with Van's made some modifications to the sticks to eliminate this issue and Tosten offers the new set prewired and ready to go for a reasonable price.  I used these grips on my RV 7A for 6 years without an issue.

The new Tosten stick, grip and cable assembly installed. They fit great and does not touch the panel. Show in the full aft position.

The new assembly in the full forward position.

This is the micro molex connector in the stick base. Just plug in the Tosten assembly and your set with wiring to Vans master harness. This wiring still needs to be tidied.
